My musical odyssey began with hard rock when the song “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses inspired me to learn to play the guitar. My journey in search of my own unique style led me to the band ZZ Top – their American vibe left a deep imprint on my musical perception. To this day, “La Grange” remains one of my favorite tracks, being a true masterpiece of this genre. Another turning point in my artistic development was the band Megadeth – their piece “A Tout Le Monde” opened the gates for me into the fascinating world of metal music. I drew inspiration from the works of artists such as Billy Gibbons and Dave Mustaine, whose influence on my creativity is invaluable. Subsequently, the musical accents of my journey began to whirl around the core genre, where the band Bullet For My Valentine gained a special place in my heart, becoming the most important source of inspiration for me and leading me further on this musical journey.

Heavy metal music has been my companion since my earliest years, though my initial attempts at playing the guitar were not from my own initiative, resulting in a swift abandonment of the instrument. It wasn’t until several years later, as my music library began to expand, and newly discovered bands provided me with the powerful sounds of heavy metal, that I decided to approach the guitar anew – and thus began my musical journey. My days became filled with training, discovering new techniques, and immersing myself in various music genres. Over time, I began to invest in equipment, honing my craft, until I was finally ready to play in a band. In this way, together with Juras, we initiated a project that has evolved into what we have today. And so, here I am!

Nu Metal and Alternative Metal are the musical tones that fill most of my days. My journey with the bass guitar began in my early years, but unfortunately, a lack of consistency and motivation often resulted in me setting the instrument aside. The turning point came when I started intensely listening to my favorite band – Korn. Their sound rekindled my interest in the bass guitar. When I discovered the music of Steamachine, I was instantly captivated, which led me to join the band after a proposition of making music together towards the end of 2021.

I first encountered metal as a child, though it wasn’t anything too heavy at the time. Everything changed about six years ago when I discovered the sound of death metal. The first album I bought was “Altars of Madness” by Morbid Angel. I was captivated by the low-tuned guitars, aggressive bass, shrieking and growling vocals, and, most importantly, the technical drumming—blast beats and fast double kicks. Completely mesmerized by the brutal sound, my musical journey delved deeper into death metal. At that point, I had been playing drums for almost three years, but I wasn’t taking it seriously. However, hearing such technical playing inspired me to practice more, even though my technique was rough and I didn’t fully understand what I was doing. Nonetheless, I persevered. Over the years, I discovered more bands that heavily influenced me as a musician (Cattle Decapitation, Cryptopsy, Dying Fetus, Carcass) and participated in several short-lived metal projects. Gradually, I improved my technique and developed my own sound and style as a drummer. Around the summer of 2023, I joined the band Steamachine. Despite the differences in the music we listen to, I learned the songs and incorporated some of my death metal-influenced style into the band. Currently, I play drums in two bands: Hektik and Steamachine.
